There are seasons of life when things feel heavier than usual — when anxiety creeps in, relationships feel strained, past experiences start showing up in unexpected ways, or you simply feel disconnected from yourself and the life you wish to lead. Individual therapy offers a dedicated space built entirely around you — your story, your pace, and your goals.
At Shared Strength Counseling, our individual therapy is relational, collaborative, and deeply personalized. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to mental health counseling. Instead, we take the time to understand who you are, what has shaped you, and what you are hoping to achieve through this therapeutic work.
Paige provides therapy services to individuals aged 8 and up, utilizing various approaches tailored to help meet personal goals. By ensuring that each client feels comfortable, she encourages honesty about whatever is happening in your life, your relationships, and within yourself. Clients leave sessions feeling empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives.

Yes! I work with ages 8 and up but can work with younger on a case by case basis. I take a similar approach of ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for the youth but highly prioritize involving caregivers in the youth's treatment and treatment goals.
Eating disorders are complex, deeply personal, and they are rarely just about food. They are often connected to anxiety, trauma, control, identity, and relationship with self. My approach to eating disorders is coming from a place with lived experience, and rooted in compassionately gaining understanding of the underlying motivations and building a healthier relationship with yourself. I take a non-diet approach and work collaboratively with medical providers when appropriate.
Trauma therapy creates a safe, paced space to process experiences that have been too overwhelming to fully integrate on your own. I use evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches that honor your pace and never push you to go faster than feels safe.
Trauma therapy is not about reliving what happened — it is about making sense of it, reducing its hold on your present life, and building a sense of safety and resilience going forward with tangible coping skills. Many people are surprised by how much lighter life can feel on the other side of trauma work.
ADHD can have many different symptoms and presentations so just like with other presenting concerns, we can take a collaborative approach to pinpoint exactly what parts of having ADHD have been challenging and tangibly explore systems to improve these areas.
No, having thoughts of harming yourself does not automatically mean you will be hospitalized. I have extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and families where a member is experiencing thoughts of self-harm or suicidal ideation, and my goal is always to provide support within the therapeutic relationship whenever it is clinically safe to do so.
When we begin treatment, I complete a thorough intake assessment that includes a review of any safety concerns. If self-harm or suicidal thoughts are part of your experience, we will work together to develop a personalized safety plan — a practical, collaborative tool that helps identify your warning signs, coping strategies, and who to contact if things feel overwhelming. You will always be part of that conversation.
Hospitalization is considered only when someone is at imminent risk of harm and cannot be kept safe in an outpatient setting. It is not a punishment, and it is not my first response. It is a last resort when safety cannot be maintained any other way. My commitment is to walk alongside you through the hard stuff — not to respond in ways that make you afraid to be honest.
If you are currently experiencing a mental health crisis please call 988 or go to your nearest emergency room.
Please fill out the counseling contact sheet, and I will reach out shortly to set up a free consultation for a 15-minute call.
